Hiking - nordic walking

Hiking as regularly as possible, without supervision, with friends or family is essential to oxygenate yourself and maintain your physical abilities. It is an opportunity to discover new landscapes and encounters.

The supervision of the hikes by a state-certified instructor also provides:

  • The discovery of the fauna, the flora, the history of the places, the small built heritage
  • Better knowledge of the circuits, management of everyone's effort, more safety
  • Even more meetings within the group formed.

 

The site

Nearly 200 km of marked trails in the town (one of the largest in France), an impressive network of trails in the Pays Midi Quercy and surrounding countries, a GR de Pays and two GR (36, 46).

The hikes take place along the paths of the Gorges de l'Aveyron and the surrounding causses with their remarkable natural sites (Natura 2000 classified site) but also in other areas of the region and on request, throughout the south of France. .
 

Objective and pedagogy

Sensitize the participants to the environment in which they evolve, by aiming at the development of the senses, to better understand and preserve this environment. Provide cultural enrichment, provide information on the nature of the site by arousing curiosity. Observe the fauna and flora, the small built heritage. Discover the work of erosion on the relief and the establishment of man in this landscape.

 

Duration

Half-day, day, courses of several days with accommodation (star hikes or roaming).
 

Nordic walk

Nordic walking is a predominantly cardio-respiratory activity using propulsion poles. The two-hour sessions promote general muscle strengthening. It is therefore a physical condition maintenance activity which, in addition, allows you to discover the landscapes of the Causses. Regular sessions all year round or courses, sticks are provided for initiation.
